Foilwick catalogs every English paper printing and refreshes card data nightly. It checks legality for Standard, Pioneer, Modern, Legacy, Vintage, Pauper, and Commander, including banned cards, copy limits, and deck size.

Can I import and export decks?

Yes. Paste a decklist or import a public Moxfield or Archidekt URL, including Commander and Sideboard sections. You can also import several decks at once and export lists as plain text, Arena, or MTGO formats.

How does solo playtesting work?

Open a deck and choose Play to use a table with your hand, battlefield, graveyard, exile, and library. You can mulligan, drag cards between zones, tap, scry, tutor, create tokens, track mana and counters, and undo actions. Commander decks start at 40 life with the commander in its command zone.

Foilwick is a fan-made playtesting sandbox that gives you a virtual tabletop for moving cards, tracking zones, life, mana, and counters, and recording replays. Like testing with physical cards, players—and any connected AI agent—decide which plays are legal and resolve card interactions; Foilwick does not interpret card text or enforce game rules. Foilwick is unofficial Fan Content permitted under Wizards of the Coast’s Fan Content Policy and is not approved or endorsed by Wizards.

Can I save and share decks or games?

Yes. Decks stay private until you publish them, then anyone with the link can view them without an account. You can also save a playtest as a replay, step through it turn by turn, add notes, and share it publicly.

What does the collection tracker do?

Track the cards you own to see total and unique cards, estimated value, which decks you can already build, and exactly which cards each deck is missing.

Yes. Foilwick runs in modern mobile browsers. Playtesting has a dedicated touch layout with card sheets, zone controls, and tap-and-hold actions, and the deck builder is touch-friendly.

Yes. Foilwick’s MCP server uses OAuth sign-in and consent, so a connected agent only receives your account permissions. Claude is currently the only verified connection; setup previews for ChatGPT, Cursor, and other MCP clients are also available on the Connect Agent page.

Card data, images, and prices come from Scryfall. Buy links may point to affiliate partners such as TCGplayer, which can help cover Foilwick's operating costs at no extra cost to you.
