Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Service form an agreement between you and Victris AI, LLC, the owner and operator of Foilwick (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. What Foilwick is

Foilwick is a free deck builder and solo playtesting tool for Magic: The Gathering. Core features, including deck building, importing, sharing, and playtesting, are free with no card or feature limits.

Foilwick is unofficial Fan Content permitted under the Wizards of the Coast Fan Content Policy. It is not approved or endorsed by Wizards. Portions of the materials used are property of Wizards of the Coast. ©Wizards of the Coast LLC. Card data and imagery are provided courtesy of Scryfall.

3. Your account

You need an account to build and save decks. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide a valid email address to register.

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or abuse the Service.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of the decks, deck names, descriptions, and notes you create. By marking a deck as public or sharing a deck link, you allow anyone with the link to view that deck's contents.

You agree not to use deck names, descriptions, or other user-provided fields for content that is unlawful, hateful, or infringes the rights of others. We may remove such content.

5. Memberships and payments

Optional Supporter, Patron, and Founder memberships are voluntary donations that support development. They unlock cosmetic perks only and never gameplay features. Payments are processed by a third-party payment provider; Foilwick does not store your card details.

Because memberships are donations for cosmetic perks, they are generally non-refundable. If something went wrong with a payment, contact us on Discord and we will do our best to help.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to attempt to disrupt the Service, access other users' private data, scrape the Service at abusive rates, or use the Service to distribute malware or spam.

7. Intellectual property

Magic: The Gathering, its cards, card names, and card imagery are the property of Wizards of the Coast LLC. Victris AI, LLC claims no ownership of them. The Foilwick name, interface, and original code are owned by Victris AI, LLC.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that deck data will never be lost. Please keep exports of decks you care about.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Victris AI, LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. The total liability of Victris AI, LLC for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to Victris AI, LLC through the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date on this page. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
