Cards and Card TypesBeginner

Creature in MTG

A permanent card type that can attack, block, and deal combat damage.

Why it matters

Creature cards have power and toughness. A creature spell becomes a creature permanent when it resolves, and it is normally affected by summoning sickness until its controller begins a turn with it.
